I think this depends on who you are giving the watch to, but I think most people would gladly receive a homage as a gift.

I really think it is important to find out the persons view on homage’s before you decide to give them one …just in case.

You don’t want to give them something they loath and put them in that awkward position of having to lie to you and tell you they love it …only or them to never wear it.

Watch collectors can be quit split on homages, they either love them or hate them, so it’s going to be sensible to see where how they feel about them.

I would either just simply ask them what they think of homages, or look at their current watch collection. If they already some homages, they are certainly going to appreciate being gifted another.

Casio would be the brand I recommend the most, I am certain everyone loves these watches, so you can’t really go wrong. You also have Seiko, but these watches are starting to creep up in price, but you can still find some good deals.

I would suggest Vostok, but these are often disliked, so maybe avoid these unless you know they are in to them. Really I am just mentioning these to make it very clear to anyone I know …you can gift me Vostoks, I will like this a lot!

Don’t Forget About Watch Accessories

 You could also go down the route of gifting some watch accessories, such as some tools, watch cases or some straps.

These can be good options, but really I would say this is only going to work well if you know what they already have and what they kind of need. If the person you are buying a gift for is in your close family or partner you will probably have a better idea of what accessories they have and might need more of.

Watch straps are always welcome by most collectors and even if they can’t use it right away, it will get used at some point. There will always be a future watch that it can be paired with if it is not used right away.
