What Is The Best Casio Watch For Everyday Use?

Casio’s are a great all round watch and they are very popular with watch collectors and the general public.

They do make great daily watches, but I will go through why and what you should look for to make sure you get the best one for you, as well as also give you a few models that might be ones you should consider for your own daily watch.

Any Casio Will Make A Great Daily Watch

When you think about what you want from a daily watch, Casio’s are pretty much built for this, they really can tick every box.

They are cheap, cool looking, durable and full of functions that you might need and usually have a light, so you can always read the time no matter what.

You could literally go through the Casio catalogue and throw a dart at it, and no matter what model it landed on, it would probably be a great choice for a daily wear.

Casio Are All Battery Powered

Casio’s only sell battery powered watches, which is another reason why they can make a great daily wear watch.

You can always reach for it and know it will be telling the time, you don’t have to mess around with winding it up and setting the time, you can really just grab and go.

Casio also seem to use some pretty good batteries with many watches coming with 10 years of battery life. Casio are so confident with this they often print this on the dial of their watches, which isn’t always the most wonderful thing to see …but it shows they believe it will last that long.

Casio Are Durable

When you think of Casio, you usually think of durability, especially when you think of G-shocks, although even the basic, more affordable options are often just as tough.

Casio’s really have the durability for daily wear. They are well constructed, water resistant and can generally take a beating and they won’t just fall apart.

No matter what daily life is going to throw at you, a Casio will handle it with ease. You can just put it on your wrist and go about your day, you don’t need to worry about anything happening to it in the same way you might have to with a more delicate watch.

Do You Prefer Digital Or Analogue Watches?

Casio are pretty unique as they sell both digital and analogue watches and even a combination of the two.

It doesn’t matter what style you prefer, Casio has you covered and their dials are usually really easy to read, so you are always going to be able to find a model that is going to work with your tastes and is something you can use every day.

Do You Need Any Other Functions From Your Watch?

Most Casio’s have a handful of useful functions, so you could really pick up and model and use it as your daily watch.

However, you may want a certain function, and this can help you narrow down what model might be right for you.

Just name a functions …there will be a Casio that has it. Things like the date, timers and stopwatches are pretty common across most models, but you can get other very useful things like world timers, that can be excellent for daily watches if you have people you talk to all around the world.

If there is something you think you need in a watch, you will be able to find it in a Casio.

Do You Live A Very Active Life?

As I have already discussed, Casio’s are very durable, they can take a real beating and this is why they are so good for wearing every day.

However, if you are maybe a little more active than the average person, or you are in harsh environments and things get a little rough …maybe a G-shock is going to be the best option for you.

G-shocks are very popular among emergency service workers and military personnel as their extra strength and durability can easily cope with the extra demands their daily life brings.

G-shocks may be a little more expensive, but they are pretty much indestructible, so they can be really worth it if you get a little rougher than average on a daily basis.

The Price of Casio’s Make Them A Great Daily Watch

Casio’s are also extremely affordable, which makes any of them a great option for a daily watch.

A large portion of the range is below $100, which means anyone can get hold of one really easily and it also isn’t the end of the world if something happens to it. You can use it every day and not worry about. If it’s breaks or gets lost, you can easily replace it.

They are not some super rare vintage watch made from precious metals and costing 100k that you are scared to hold in your hand, let alone wear. You can just put a Casio on and go about your day.

Some Possible Options For A Daily Casio

When you look at the different models of Casio, there is a seemingly endless amount of them. I will go through three that I own, and have used as my daily watch, which would be perfectly suitable for anyone.

F-91w

This is the Casio you think of when someone says “think of a Casio” it is there highest selling model and it is also probably one of their cheapest. I think I paid £8 for it and it was my work watch for a long time (which kind of turned into my all the time watch)

You can get this watch in different colours, and there are a very different models that are very similar, such as the gold and silver versions, such as A168 or the W-86-1VQES.

They are small, lightweight, have all the functions you need and just do everything you will need from a watch at a ridiculously low price.

This is one of the best selling watches for a reason, it just is a great watch to wear every day.

G-Shock Square

A G-shock square is also a great daily watch from Casio. Really it’s just a bigger and slightly stronger version of the F91w, It’s even more durbale, with even more functions.

This is basically my currently daily watch. I wear this every morning until I have finished my exercise. I use the countdown timer to time my rest in between sets and I like that it is extra tough just in case I bang it into something.

These are a little more money but they are only around 100 …and they could be the only watch you ever own. They literally do everything.

I am huge fan of my G-shock Square. There is just something about it that makes me smile.

Casio Royale World Timer

Another great option for a daily Casio is the Casio Royale, which you can get in both black resin or metal.

I got the metal version so I can have a bracelet and so it looks a bit different from all my other Casio’s.

This watch is full of features and is roughly the same size as the G-shock Square, but it only cost 30 quid.

I really enjoy this watch and while I don’t wear it as much now, I do keep it next to my computer. As it’s a world timer I can see the times in other places, which is important for me as I have a lot of friends around the world and it’s easy for me to glance at it and see what time it is where they are, so I am looking at this watch multiple times a day, even if it is not always on my wrist.

This watch can make a great daily wearer, especially if you deal with people in different time zones.

You could really just pick any Casio and it would be a great watch that serves you well everyday.
